Canada’s Meryeta O’Dine wins bronze in women’s snowboard cross

Prince George, B.C.’s Meryeta O’Dine received the first Olympic medal of her occupation, capturing bronze within the women’s snowboard pass competition, sharing the rostrum with gold-medal winner Lindsey Jacobellis, of the U.S., and France’s Chloe Trespeuch, who earned silver.

Successful Canada’s seventh medal of Beijing 2022, the 24-12 months-vintage becomes the primary Canadian to medal in the adventure given that Sochi 2014 whilst Dominique Maltais gained silver. No Canadian has received gold on account that Maielle Ricker won the first ever Olympic identify in women’s snowboard go at Vancouver 2010.

Ricker, FORTY THREE, is Canada’s lone Olympic snowboard move gold medallist, and is a coach with the Canadian group at Beijing 2022.
