Homicide investigators say the shootings that left four members of the family dead Monday night in Richmond, B.C., seem to be a case of murder-suicide.
The shootings happened round 7 p.m. PT inside a multi-unit house within the 4500-block of Garden City Highway, in line with police, but the our bodies weren’t found out until Tuesday.
Sgt. David Lee, with the RCMP’s Built-In Murder Investigation Team (IHIT), mentioned the victims have been all from the similar circle of relatives: a father, 74, a mother, FIFTY EIGHT, a son, 23, and every other kid, 21.
Lee stated preliminary investigations point to the homicide-suicide hypothesis and that certainly one of the members of the family used to be the shooter. Then Again, he stated affirmation will have to attend till ballistics and autopsies had been completed.
“It’s worrying for the entire neighbours involved and the entire investigators,” stated Lee. “It used to be an overly complex scene to handle.”
He mentioned investigators haven’t yet recognized which member of the family used to be the perpetrator, but confirmed it used to be no longer the father.
He mentioned the 23-yr-old son held a prison firearms licence and had access to firearms.

A weapon was once situated at the scene and ballistics is operating to determine whether it used to be the gun used in the capturing, Lee stated.
“we aren’t in search of any further suspects and there are no ongoing threats to the general public,” he said.
IHIT said it’s not releasing the victims’ identities because the extended family has asked for privateness.
