Calgary animal shelters have already won thousands of dollars in donations following a social media problem created to honour late actor and comic Betty White.
The Betty White Problem asks other people to donate $FIVE to a local animal refuge on Jan. 17, what may have been the a centesimal birthday of the remaining surviving member of The Golden Ladies sitcom.
White, who died on Dec. 31, famously liked animals and had a TV show within the nineteen seventies dedicated to celebrities, their pets, ecology and natural world protection.
Deanna Thompson, government director of the Alberta Animal Rescue Workforce Society, says donations to the organization have already all started, greater than a week out from the challenge’s get started date. Those donations shall be in a position to assist heaps of animals around the global.

Carrie Fritz, executive director of the Calgary Humane Society, says the organization has already raised $6,000, more than a week prior to White’s birthday, even as additionally celebrating its one hundredth 12 months.
